Although I haven't seen much racing this year, I have tried to keep up with some of the horses. I really like Pyro, if only for his lineage, because I always loved A.P. Indy, he was an amazing horse. I think he should make at least a strong showing in the Derby.

I also am a sucker for the whole 'girls vs. guys' thing, so I will definitely be rooting for Eight Belles (gotta love those big fillies!).

I'm liking Eight Belles right now, as well as Gayego, probably Pyro, Colonel John, and Big Brown (post position did it in for me) as back-ups.

Not Big Brown! They just chose the 20 hole for him!! LMAO!! They had the choice of the inside posts and they took 20!! lol! That had to be the stupidest move I have ever seen in Kentucky Derby all the years that I have been watching the Kentucky Derby!! haha!

Sorry to whoever gave me the thumbs down, but it's true... that move was delusional.

Well, the race has already run, but I was predicting Big Brown or Eight Belles.

Atleast Eight Belles came in second, but it was so sad that she got hurt right after and had to be euthanized. :(

I was voting for Big Brown, but the post position is now against the poor critter. :-( And yes, War Pass was pulled due to leg injury.

Big Brown is the surefire bet. Although he drew the farthest post postition (20) he proved he can handle the far post position in the Florida Derby. He won by about five lengths after setting the fractions and Kent Desormeaux only had to get after him in the turn. Smooth Air is another good longshot. He got second in the Florida Derby. Court Vision has the pedigree to go a long distance too. Pyro's dismal performance in the Bluegrass Stakes was one to look over.
