  1. Obviously you have to put Tiger up there and Phil is from the area and grew up on Torey Pines so you can't count him out either.  A couple names I would look at other than those two are Geoff Ogilvy, hits it long very high and has a great short game, Sergio, best driver of the ball on Tour (just depends on if he has his putter that week), and a dark horse: Hunter Mahan.  I like his game, he drives it really well and I think has a game suited well for a US Open.

  2. I think that more of the big names will be up the list. Without a doubt, I see Tiger Woods up their because he was comfertable on the course practice round he had and seems to be just fine. As himself, the best golfer in the world.

I can also see the lefty, Phil Mickelson make the top. Every year he wins atleast one big one and I think he is about due. I think he will be in the top 5.

I'm not a fan of this guy, but Sergio Garcia has played well lately and has been very consistent. He has placed many finishes in the top 10. I wouldn't be suprised to see him do that again this week.

I also think Jim Furyk will be right up their. He is also very consistent and experienced. He can hit them long and straight.

  3. Don't know why...but 1,2 and 3 are:

    Stephen Ames

    Phil

    Tiger

  4. I like Phil the Thrill to get it done this week. Tiger is a bit on the rusty side after his surgery.

How about Zach Johnson for a dark horse...

From the European side Paul Casey comes to mind.

  5. Vijay Singh if he gets his putting together

  6. Kenny Perry hasn't even qualified to be in the field - hard to contend for the US Open from home.

Of all the big names, I like Sergio Garcia to be among the leaders.  He's playing well and is putting better than ever in his career.

My pick for the week is Stewart Cink.  His play in 2008 has been the most consistant of anyone on tour.  He's had several top 10 finishes and is the Fed Ex points leader among those without a win this season.  He's due for a win, and he's hungry for a major.

We also won't see an under par score this week -  even par or one over wins.

  7. I htink Jeff Quinney will win but tiger and lefty will be up there.

  8. Robert Karlsson

  9. Jordan Cox

  10. tiger is always the favorite and he should be even coming off of surgery.  he's won on that course four years in a row so he's very comfortable there, but if its not him i would say phil or possibly adam scott could come through.  he's won some big tournaments and will be comfortable with the pressure

  11. i think lefty has got this one in the bag. wins it with a final round -6

  12. Tiger Woods......because he's Tiger Woods.

  13. If i had to pick i would pick Phil, but there is good chance of a no-name coming out and playing a great tournament .
