  1. It's 'way, 'way early to try to pick the Juvenile winner, a lot of the best 2-year-olds in training have either not started yet or have only started once or twice.

    I'm going to go out on a limb, though:  Maimonides, the Bob Baffert- trained sone of Vindication that was a $4.6-million yearling.  His sire won the BC Juvenile and is a son of Seattle Slew;  he's a half-brother to El Corredor and Roman Ruler; he's won impressively at Saratoga; and Baffert, who knows a thing or two about quality juvenile colts, likes him a lot.  

    But it's a looooooooong way to go before the Breeder's Cup, and who knows what colts are working towards their debuts, not on anyone's radar screens yet, waiting to suddenly burst on the scene and make us forget the "boys of summer" as the days lengthen into fall....
