With the dawning of another footy season, you can just never tell who might be up there at the end of the season. Who do you think has a chance, I personally hope the Dragons do a little better than 2007 (lol)!

  1. Where to begin?! You just can't pick it.

Although, I happen to think that Melbourne will be hard to beat again. They were there twice in the last two years, so, yes, they are a good outfit. You can never go past Queensland (Brisbane (Lockyer and Bennett) or North Queensland (Thurston and Bowen)), it might be in the water up there. I reckon the Bulldogs will be a bit of a let down, and I hope the Tigers shape up. But in answer to your question, the Roosters; with Freddy and their new roster, they look good, and for them to win the Centenary Premiership, that would be something.

Speaking as a Newcastle fan, though, I'm thinking that Brian Smith better whip those boys into a team and better 2007's disappointing, and at times, dismal effort by a mile. It's about time for a Premiership, Mr Smith, don't you think?

  2. Saints are due.

After their horror injury toll last year, a lot of young guys got a taste of 1st grade, and this will have a beneficial effect this season.  Soward will also benefit from a full off season, and as long as he can develop his organisational skills a bit more he'll most likely be in contention for a Blues jersey.  Expect Ryles and Poore to have a big season, and new buy Jarrod Saffy and Ricky Thorby to make huge impacts.

The Cowboys are the other smokey for mine, along with the Warriors.  I think Melbourne will suffer a premiership hangover like every other recent premier (with the exception of the Rorters in 2003) and finish 3rd to 7th.

  3. storm

  4. I really wish it could be North Sydney Bears. But seeing as they arent around anymore and i dont really care but i reckon probably Manly under Des Hasler will go a long way.

  5. North Qld Cowboys!

  6. Melbourne Storm all the way. Back to back premierships for them. You just can't fault them, so many excellent young players and such a fantastic coach they have it all sorted.

Good luck to everyone else but the Storm have this season in the bag. :)

    GO STORM!!!!

  7. Tigers!

  8. THE DRAGONS FOR SURE (WELL HOPEFULLY)

  9. the broncos

  10. As I won the NRL tipping last year I feel I have a right to say that you can't past the Storm again, so many young players and team ethic.

  11. melbourne storm
