Nobody, you can't win the medal standings, everyone knows that.

By IOC medal count, which goes by Gold and not total medals, China was 1st and USA 2nd.

As the US media reports - USA was the topper in medal tally.

For the rest of the world and china, the media and IOC reports that china topped it.

In my opinion, china managed to win this time. USA put up a great show with a number of stellar performances. They came second.

Either works. The Chinese people put on a great show. Absolutely fantastic and I am sure the athletes will all feel the same, even though some didn't end up with the results they wanted.

I'd say Beijing was the best and Calgary was the worst, in the modern era. In fact Calgary would have sucked in the ancient era too.

The US won more medals then China.  So the US won the overall  standings.

usa usa usa and that's coming from an englishmen so I'm not biased i just don't like cheating, usa won there medals fair and square where as the judges won China's for them!!

who cares, you don't "WIN" the medal standing and never have.

Why don't you just decide who you think won and move on.

The USA won the most medals, but China got the most gold medals.  They got 51 gold, we got 35.  But it total, we won in standings.
