Who do you think would win if Ali fought Marciano now?

Marciano retired undefeated,Ali is always known as the greatest but did lose a couple,just wanted to know peoples opinions,cheers.

Ali would have to have someone dig up Marciano to fight.  At this point in time, Ali has the edge, he's still alive!

i think ali would win by ko in the later rounds ali has footwork that would baffle rocky from the start and ali arguably has a good chin i mean he did take foremans punch i think a better fight would be ali vs joe louis

Ali wins comfortably. He doesnt KO the rock but he lands shots and moves the whole fight with Rocky having no chance of landing Suzie Q (his right hand) in the whole fight.

Ali just has too much speed for any heavyweight of any generation. Yes people argue who was the greatest heavy of all time Ali or Joe Louis but if they both faced off in their prime Ali was untouchable!

ail id say was the better man in the ring but you never khow in this game one big shot and you dont get up its over as you seen with Lenx Lewis you dont have to be a legend to ko some great boxers not that lewis was great but when you get stung by 18stone of musscle fat what ever it could be over no matter what you nane is or if you a legend.

skill speed ali brings these but speed is power in its own way also the one you dont see comming are the ones that hurt the most if your lucky... they will hurt if not you will wake up and you will be none the wiser  but its geting the rite spot is not easy he will make you work for it unless he does not see it ....

marciano was small for a top weight fighter but was strong as a bull  and hits hard for his size small hands to. power and the will to win will go in to an all out war as he was not a mover so he had to that he had no choise..if you lose a few fights today most of these so call boxing fan think you are done but is were you get better its part of your schooling look at cotto he was protected in away and never had a war in  his erley days tho he is a good boxer but never had a test..  margriato had been beat so was ready more than cotto was been there lots of times as ne khows how to get tho 12 hard rounds when hurt..

cotto was good for 10 rounds maybe if he was let off the lesh at 21 or 22 he would of got tho the full 12 rounds after being hurt.. he did his best and almost did it was  so close to getting to the end... .skill cotto hands down but ring manship margoriato was the boss...and also watching cotto made me think and respect prity boy floyd abit more as cotto was trying  to fight that style but not as fast but give his all...

If Ali stays away the whole fight Ali wins.  Ali would try to take rounds off and this would be his undoing.  Marciano is aggressive every round start to finish.  Marciano takes a decision based on aggression and endurance.

Although I admire Marciano and what he had accomplished, it would be no contest. Ali would have decimated Marciano on speed alone. Ali wa a complete fighter and his speed, power, and footwork would've been too much for Marciano to absorb...

Well, Ali had his right to box taken away approaching his peak.

He was out of the ring for three years; he had to wait another four to regain his title off of Foreman, losing to Frazier along the way.

And then in 1978; he won the title for the third time.

The irony is that he was three times heavyweight champion of the world; but because of those seven years of ring politics, no one ever really saw him at his "absolute" peak.

Yet what a legacy he left.  Even if he did go on too long; and suffered a few defeats.

He was the greatest!
