my red sox dont need to acquire anyone before the trade deadline.all they have to do is call somebody up and theyll be able to get the job done

Favorite Team:  Atlanta

If they buy:

Xavier Nady - Atlanta needs another outfield bat.  Nady can play LF and provide a solid bat from the right side, something Atlanta is missing.

Greg Maddux - They need another solid starter.  Maddux isn't really having that bad of a season, he's just gotten NO run support in San Diego.  He doesn't typically get hurt, so he should give Atlanta a solid 6 innings every five days.

If they sell:

Mark Teixeira:  2 Top prospects and at least one other prospect.  Basically, I want at least the teams best prospect, one other top 5 prospect and another top 10-15.

As a Red Sox fan, we need some bullpen help.  Fuentes would be ideal but won't happen because he doesn't want to be anything other than a closer, but maybe bring in a guy like AJ Burnett, move Wakefield or Buchholz to the pen...

Those rumors about Washburn for Igawa make me really happy inside, mostly because getting rid of Kei Igawa would be the best thing that's happened in a while.
