Nalbandian lost surprisingly to the frenchman Gael Monfils. Novak faces Gael Monfils in the quarters next. Another easy match for Novak. Can't wait for the Rafa/Novak showdown. It will be an exciting match. I can't wait for Roger vs Blake. I hope he can beat Blake, but I am not entirely sure.

The winner of the Monfils/Nalbandian match; seems like a toss up given Nalbandian's so-so year. But either would give Novak a tight match if he plays well. Nadal's performance against Andreev may have been even better than that of his match with Hewitt. And I'm not just saying that ;) I think next Nadal has Melzer...easy peezy stuff.

EDIT: Somewhat surprisingly Monfils won in straight sets, 6-4, 6-4. The French teenager is very talented but his game is somewhat raw. I don't see him getting past Djokovic though. A Nadal/Djokovic semifinal clash is all but inevitable, and I think it's what we've all been waiting for.
