Only thing cotto has to do to fight Money May is say something stupid on national T.V. call him out.When asked about would he like to fight mayweather he said he will fight who his promoters say fight. Hatton thought the same thing and if cotto step up.he will get his *** busted too!

schooled is exactly what would happen to Cotto. Cotto is a very good fighter but not as experienced as Mayweather. It would not be fair or wise to stick Cotto in with Floyd right now. Again Cotto is very good but talk about fight nobody?????? this past weekend proved nothing for Cotto! Mayweathers is Champ!!! case close and doesn't have to chase anyone down for a fight. thats what he had and did at the beginning of his career. like all other champions before him. his dues have been paid and unless someone clearly is a #1 contender should he fight them

in COTTO vs TORRES: cotto was hurt bad early on, he was dazed and stumbling all over the place because he was getting caught by punches that were'nt even fast, they were haymakers that you could see from a mile away but cotto has poor defense and refuses to back up until its too late. had torres thrown any body punches when cotto was hurt he would have stopped him.

in COTTO vs MALIGNAGGI: we saw what happens when cotto faces speed....he gets hit and alot, luckily for him Malignaggi has absolutely no power and he also hurt his hand or shoulder during the fight. cotto deserved the decision but it was glimpse of cotto vs mayweather and floyd hits harder, has better defense, and footwork than malignaggi

in COTTO vs JUDAH: judah dominated the fight until he ran out of steam like he always does, he had cotto hurt a few times with vicious uppercuts. this was another glimpse into the future of mayweather vs cotto since zab and floyd has similar attributes, and zab looked phenomenal against cotto til he got tired. floyd doesn't know the meanting of tired.

in COTTO vs CORLEY: please everyone watch this fight if you can i feel really bad for "chop chop" who had a solid chance at winning this fight but was robbed by an in-experienced referee. the fight was stopped when cotto threw a 3punch combo that missed, sensing danger he took a knee like a smart veteran fighter would to recieve a standing 8 count to get his bearings thats when the ref stopped it, everyone was shocked even the commentators called this a unfounded foolish stoppage. the fight was pretty even and chop chop was getting the upper hand at the stoppage.

Floyd beat guys that are faster than cotto, just as strong as cotto, more agressive than cotto, throw more combinations than cotto, bigger than cotto, and that are smarter fighters than cotto. Floyd would would pot shot cotto til he is damaged,cotto would be missing with all his puches due to floyd's footwork and ring savvy and he'd get frustrated like he did when he picked up another fighter and threw him out of frustration. floyd would then began staying inside to break cotto's spirit even more. not the ref but cotto's corner would stop the fight seeing the one-sidedness of the fight and the un-answered punishment he is taking just like in Mayweather vs Gatti. whenever floyd fights aggressive strong fighters like gatti or hatton he beats them even worst than fast, smart, fighters like de la hoya or zab judah.

common cotto vs mayweather. how can someone say that mayweather would school him didn't you see the judah vs mayweather mayweather was getting schooled till zab tierd out then floyd won yet cotto beat zab by knocking him out look back at cotto's last fights he is mature in the ring and is becoming a complete boxer the more mayweather waits for what will eventualy happen the worse it will be for him because cotto has proven that he has grown as a boxer with every fight and mayweather on the other hand is going down hill. now he is trying to a wrestler common can some really take him serious. he should be trying to box and defending his title not fighting a fix match in wrestling. if he is not going to fight he should give up his title and leave the sport.

Yeah I don't think Cotto wants to fight Floyd.  He saw that Hatton was able to call out Floyd and it worked.  Cotto knows he could do the same thing.  The problem is Cotto also knows he would be schooled.

Cotto couldn't beat Floyd. Floyd showed he could fight inside in the Hatton fight, but I don't think he would risk that against Cotto. Makinaggi and Mosley hit Cotto plenty, and so would Floyd. Box and move, step back and counter, for the full 12. Floyd wins a fairly wide UD.

Also, Cotto would have nothing to gain or prove by beating Oscar, at 147 or 154. Oscar is past his prime as a boxer, and only seems to be around to make the people he's fighting (and himself) lots of money.

I think the fight people would want to see Cotto in would be either Margarito or Cintron (he will most probably fight the winner of that at the final boxing show at MSG), and perhaps a couple of years down the line, Andre Berto.

Hatton was too small for mayweather - that's why mayweather fought him. Mayweather wouldn't even make it a fair fight by fighting him at 140!  Cotto is a much bigger threat. Mayweather shouldn't even have a title. He has gone 1 1/2 years without a mandatory defense of his welterweight title. He should have been stripped long ago.

Mayweather only wants to fight old washed up guys like Gatti and Baldomir or little guys like Hatton (and a ten years past his prime Oscar). He should be fighting Cotto, Mosley, Margarito, Williams, Berto and the like in order. Mayweather is a complete FRAUD!

The real question here would be who does Floyd needs to beat? obviously Cotto. Floyd fears Cotto. Floyd wants to retire as undefeated champion. The real fans of boxing  knows that Floyd lost to Jose Luis Castillo and please stop comparing past fights. look many of you compared Cotto with Gatti(wrong)Folyd beat an OLD Gatti ok , but Gomez KO Gatti and Cotto killed Gomez, Floyd won 12 closed rounds against Zab  but Cotto killed Zab so stop comparing fights that's wrong.
