Who does rolling stone magazine use to base there top lists from?

I read their 100 greatest guitar players issue and I was in awe of how terrible it was.

Kurt cobain was in the top. WHY? They didn't even make mention of Steve Vai on it. He is my personal favorite and I think he could outplay half of those people. I don't think Hendrix should even be in the top 5. I want to know what info they use to base their lists on. I figured it was reader polls. Anyone Know?

  1. I don't know but I agree 100%.

    Like best movie in the Academy Awards it's all about who know who and the money involved..

    The magazine states the list is compiled by "The Editors" and only God know who they are or were. Go figure?
