  1. God since He created it.

  2. The mountain of light was given to Queen Victoria as a gift. It is supposedly cursed if in the possesion of a man.

  3. The Queen, and it wasn't taken, it was a gift.

    Edit:

India, Pakistan and Iran lay claim to it.  Where do you think it should go.

As Old Know All says, it's a moral, not legal issue.

  4. It belongs to India and I would imagine they want it back at some stage but it ain't likely to happen as the British Empire were quite the thieves back in their day and they did like to take things that didn't belong to them and claim them as their own!!!

  5. It passed to the British Crown through the Treaty of Lahore.  Legally it is part of the British Crown jewels and is held in trust by the monarch for the British people.  No-one has disputed the legality of the Treaty of Lahore although its morality is another matter.

  6. it belongs to india

  7. It came from India then went to Persia and it has changed hands a few times due to wars, then Iran gave it to the Queen of England. I went to Tehran to see its sister stone the Darya I Noor the worlds largest pink diamond, it was amazing the whole museum was in Iran's national bank encased in the biggest steel walls I have ever seen. The whole museum was full of the most amazing gems and valuable metals, I left in disbelief at the wealth.
