I am 31, husband is 30 (expecting a baby in a month) We eat dinner together every night. When I was growing up, it was routine for my family to eat together every night. i think it is very important!

we eat supper together every evening, with the exception of the occasional weekend, sometimes we go out, but even then i guess were technically eating together. but at least 5 days a week there is a meal cooked and we sit at the table to eat.

My husband sometimes travels for work and occasionally is stuck at work till well past when the kids can wait to eat.  All the rest of the time (probably 5 times a week, if you average it out) we eat as a family.  Even when my husband can't make it, all five of the rest of us sit down for dinner together.

My kids (7 & 9 both girls) eat together at our bar I am in the kitchen with them usually doing dishes or something. My husband does not get home until 7:00 and that is too late for the kids to eat, I eat with him half the time, or I just skip dinner. On weekends we do eat together but not at a table our table is my MIL antique so we do not use it, it squeeks when you look at it LOL I would love a nice table, but we just cannot afford one right now that is why we use the bar for the kids. On holidays and birthdays we do set the table and use it anyway, usually a fun candlelight dinner with the kids, it just cannot hold up to daily use. Some day hopefully we can get a new one, I just went back to work after being home for 7 years so maybe that can be our next big purchase.

my partner & i eat at diffrent times because of our schedule, we also like to eat diffrent things. this system works for us, we do rarely though cook something special for both of us to eat.-blurey

I am 28 , husband 29, our daughter is 6 and son is 3. We sit together at the kitchen table every evening for dinner. We feel its a vital part of family life. We are teaching our children good mannors and its the only time of the day that isnt rushed, to get ready for school/work ect. We get to actually talk and listen to each other. In maybe 10 years time the children wont want to be around so much thats why we make the most of the precious time we have.

Me and my hubby in 30's.  We have a 7 and 2 year old girls.  We eat dinner every night together, except on Fridays when my hubby takes the girls to grandma's to visit.

I grew up eating dinner with my family every night, except when I got older and had a boyfriend, then we would go out to dinner Friday and/or Saturday nights.
