Question:

Who else believes along with me that there are other available fuel sources out here...?

Why do we have to be so dependent on gasoline. Is it because there are millions of vehicles out there, and if we all of a suddenly switched to buying vehicles that can run on water (Hydrogen particle splitting producing clean energy), there will be indefinite amounts of garbage and so on.

Not only that, a bigger problem is the rich companies mining gasoline, and the big vehicle businesses out there with incomprehensible amounts of power and money who basically control the economy, and prevent change, to leak out every last penny out of the gasoline consumption.

It's sad that everyone on the Earth, with basically no power alone, just sits and waits for this world to die off.

Are we too busy in our own personal lives to change and create a cleaner environment????

And where are the world leaders who encourage these transitions to take place...

Please give me your thoughts. :(

  1. well.there still is another fuel.solar energy, electrical energy, etc.i dont know why they just use gas when there is other fuels then that.maybe cuz they dont want to lose money if gas gets replaced.

  2. The only viable alternative fuel for cars is electricity.  We're already seeing hybrid electric/gas cars:

and electric cars are becoming a viable alternative:

Hydrogen might eventually be an option, but it's still several decades off:

  3. of course there are other fuels out there , any developed are bought by the oil company's and shelved till the oil will run out or close to it

watch the documentary " who killed the electric car " and see a very disturbing movie. you will see how much California the auto makers federal government and big oil really care about "conservation"

its criminal i tell ya, or at lest should be

  4. There ARE other available fuel/energy sources...

Most are not economically viable for use.

The cost of producing fuel for a car from corn is still higher than the cost of gasoline.  When Ethanol is used as an automotive fuel... you can expect the government to add their appx $1.35/gallon in assorted taxes. (which are incorporated into every gallon of gasoline you buy...  Thats what funds most road building projects.)

Even though the cost per gallon for E-85 is slightly lower than gasooline... Alcohol has about HALF the energy per gallon as gasoline...  So it takes more gallons to go the same number of miles!  Since the TAX is PER GALLON... you're paying a higher portion of the road use taxes when you use E-85.

    *****************

When you convert to propane for your car... the main cost savings is due to avoiding the per gallon road use tax...  There's no way for the govenment to verify if the propane has the tax paid or not.

Gasoline and deisel have dye added...

red dye for automotive... (now you know why your gas is reddish color)

IIRC ...Green for aviation, and blue for farm use.

Its a felony to put farm use fuel in your car and drive it on the highways.

  5. You need to study more and get the facts. Many scientists and engineers all over the world have been working on all types of alternatives for many years.

The problem isn't a plot by someone, or apathy, as you insinuate. The problem is simply been economics. Oil has always been the cheapest fuel. Even in areas like Japan and Europe, where fuel costs have been much higher than the US, it is still cheaper than all the alternatives to date.

As far as the big cars, the automobile companies produce what we want. We have always demanded big cars and trucks. If we want small ones, they will build them. You may not remember cars like the VW Rabbit Diesel that got 50 MPG. It died because not enough people wanted them.

Stop whining and blaming government and industry for everything. That is just a cop out. WE are the Government. WE vote. WE control what industry produces through our purchases. WE cause pollution, not government and Industry. Did the government make us have more kids and build more houses, roads, etc? Did the government or industry make you buy that SUV? Did the government make you build that big house twice as big as it needs to be? Did the government make you install air conditioning?

WE ARE THE CAUSE OF POLLUTION. ONLY WE CAN CHANGE IT>

  6. I used to work with a guy who was an engineer in the middle east and he said that many years ago they had actually found an alternative to fuel cars but they didn't use it because it wasn't financial viable.  Profit and loss accounts; greed is the main incredient of today why natural resources arn't used.

  7. The reason we are dependent on gasoline is a political reason.

Have you googled up the hydro car? runs on water??

  8. oh there are other fuels, but the oil/fuel/energy corporations haven't monopolized them yet.

  9. Our wonderful government has been keeping a never ending fuel source a away from us since the 1920's

it's a big part of our history yet it is not in school books or talked about in schools.

one plant that can do so much,

    HEMP

here is a very good and free read

heck prove him wrong and win $100,000

  10. Always have been

but those running the show want to sell all the petrol first .

they have had the hydro car for almost a century and the inventor was assasinated

when the petroleum runs out you will be suprised what pops up

and when they have figured out a way to charge for the Sun,Wind and water

  11. I wouldn't worry about it.  A cleaner environment will happen and yes, I do believe it is necessary.   It will happen so be paitent and vote for the GREEN party in all your votes.

  12. There are alternative fuels. Liquid natural gas, coal gas, biofuels  and hydrogen as you pointed out. At the present time oils is cheaper to produce and other fuels cannot compete. When oil seriously gets scarce we will switch.
