Global warming is but a component, in a group of destructive forces at work such as ;deforestation,desertification,soil and water contamination ,irresponsible or wasteful utilization of bio resources , air pollution,Non sustainable Agriculture,over pumping carbon aquifers

all concepts which are definitely not part of the Natural Processes of the Natural world

WHICH WE ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR,

The most prolific growth on this planet is part of the day in the mist and most of the time under clouds ,and the least growth is always directly in the sun .

To exchange the one for the other means changing local climates

We are exchanging Nature with Tar , concrete and open spaced mono cultures.

In 300 years half of the planets forests have gone ,and in the last 50 years half of the wet lands ,and rain forests

These Areas absorb heat during the day and release heat at night ,

Cause cloud formation(shade).humidifying the air on the surface as well as releasing excess water at the roots that keep rivers flowing ,which in turn brings more water into the Environment .

As well as contributing to absorbing carbon emissions as do the leaves of the trees together with the oceans .

All in all many factors which directly affect the local Environment .

The loss of the above resulting in rivers drying up ,less rain ,desertification,loss of habitat for many species and so on.

dryer and hotter surface environments which can manifest in different weather patterns such as tornadoes or bush fires

I may be stupid or Naive but somehow i believe that lots of these local environmental changes, can add up to affect global weather, If there are enough of them (and there are)

A cocktail of events and a lot of the ingredients have MAN written all over them

So it is safe to assume that we should look at ourselves ,just a teeny bit ,for possible improvements ,and rectifying Eco errors that are with in our powers.

In my personal opinion, yes Global Warming is real. In High School I had complete various reports dealing with that topic and how there were and are many tests being conducted to further prove global warming. There's many naysayers out there but don't let them sway your opinion. Even though it may not affect you now, it may however affect you but it may affect your children.

It's real, and the people that are the ones that are doing the work (the scientists) are not making money off of it. You do understand that there's much more money involved on the side that doesn't want you to believe it's real, don't you?  For example, Exxon made $40,000,000,000 in profit last year.  That's a pretty good incentive to try and convince people it's some kind of a hoax.

The variation in the sun's output is too small for it to be responsible for the warming that we are seeing in any direct way, and there is little evidence that it's causing the warming in any nonlinear fashion either.

O I don't believe, I know it is commercial. idiots like Al gore are making millions off of it. He is a genius for being able to rip us all of though. global warming may be there but it is really just a cycle that the earth goes through. yes it is caused by CO2 emissions as someone failed to notice above me but people are not the only ones who emit CO2. the earth gives off the same amount of CO2 in a day as humans give off in a year.

It is a scam and sooner or later you will see a green tax or an emissions tax come into play. bush did do one right thing in his presidency and not sign onto that stupid treaty that limits CO2 emmisions. I will fight tooth and nail and I will never pay a dime for a green tax. however, going green does sound like a great money making opportunity from all the poor suckers. hmmmm...

Global warming isn't a scam...it's real. How much humans are involved, though, is questionable. But check the facts, the average temperature on earth has been steadily rising over the past century. Not by much, but even a slight increase of a couple of degrees can have unforeseen consequences.

Climate change is for real, the cooling and warming of the earth has been going on for millenia. Its natural!

I don't believe that it's caused by human activity at all and I'm sick of this propaganda churned out by politians blaming us fot it.

Green taxes, how the h**l is paying more road and airline tax going to save the planet? It's ludicrous and makes me d**n angry.

On earth's timeline, the human race has been on this planet for a split second. In the 4 billion years before we arrived, how many volcanoes have erupted, spewing gas and toxins into the atmosphere?

The earth is still here and still will be for billions of years after we have died out.

Think about it, Mr Prime Minister.

What governments should be doing is safeguarding the future of the rainforests and animal species which concerns me much more.

-----guess how much co2 is in the atmosphere? ... u guessed right, 0.04% (thats right, 0.04% of the atmosphere that is co2 is causing "global warming") ... and can someone explain to me how the co2 floats up into the atmosphere but when you blow up a balloon with co2 it doesnt float? (its scientifically impossible so dont bother explaining) .......... and guess where the so called scientists/experts take their "accurate" readings of co2 from? right above the active volcano Mount Kaleau (sp?) in Hawaii ..... accurate and fair, right? ... no , not rly .......... f.y.i., mars has a atmosphere with 95.3% co2, the average temperature there is -63° C (-81° F)

Global warming does exist and although the planet changes over a period of time from hot to cold we are not helping the situation by the carbon dioxides we are releasing into the atmosphere.  If we are not careful we will accelerate the changes and we humans shall turn out to be like the dinosaurs, extinct.  Ideally it would be better if we went back to the carriage and horse for transportation

I don't believe Global Warming has anything to do with Carbon Dioxide at all.

Scientists say, that heat from the sun comes down to earth in UV rays, and is reflected back as Infra-red rays, so the infra-red rays are too big to get back through the particles of the CO2.

Scientists say this, but they cannot prove how this is the case.

Another theory, is that we are still coming out of the end of the last ice age.

It's a very diverse debate.

I believe that global warming is an issue but i think the government are milking it for all its worth. One minute they say that england will be under water in 10 years time, the next they say the sun will swallow the earth in 10 billion years. Making the public panic about such issues is wrong but i believe that if more people made the effort to do the little things like not leaving a TV on stand by or recycling then its every little helps i guess

It is pretty much a scam, I think it exists but not in the way that Al Gore and his followers believe. Like for instance, the polar ice caps don't melt in enormous quantities over like two years, it take years upon years for them to really melt.
