  1. me too....  i know what you mean!

  2. I too am independent, but this year I am going with Obama because he is different, he is younger, he talks about real change.  I want to give him a chance, to see what he can do. It can't get no worse.

  3. I share your dissatisfaction with both major parties and do not have a political affiliation for that reason.  Hopefully, someday a political movement will arise that will provide the American public with a viable alternative.

In the meantime, I vote for the better or best candidate among those who stand a realistic chance of winning.  Politics is the art of the possible and we shouldn't let the perfect become the enemy of the good.  Please do not throw your vote away just to make a statement.

I will be voting Democratic as I always do.  Even with the Democratic Party's flaws, it still is preferable to the Republican Party.  The last eight years of Republican rule have resulted in outsourced jobs, the lack of an energy policy, a disastrous war in Iraq and another in Afghanistan that we're losing, widespread foreclosures resulting in part from the administration's failure to regulate the financial services industry, the grossly inadequate response to Hurricane Katrina, a soaring debt, an eroding of America's standing among its allies, a strained military, and an even greater lack of confidence among Americans in their government.

Do you really want to risk another four years of that just to make a statement that no one will hear?
