Ok, I don't know if its my ****, or how I'm sitting, or If I am sitting too long, but my neck, shoulders, and back hurt SO BAD!!! It's like if I move it hurts, and everything cramps! When I get home I feel better, but it starts over again, every day, then sometimes my butt feels pinched and pulled, IDK how to explain it, like I have to get up and walk, but once I go right back, it comes back, and I walk my dogs after work usually, but it doesn't help, I stretch and crack everything, but still, anyone else get this?

  1. I had this same problem before I switched jobs. I hated my job and it was extremely stressful. I had everything from headaches, back aches, neck aches to butt aches. Sounds like you need to start looking for another job.

  2. If I sit too long my tailbone hurts; then when I stand, my hip bones/thigh bones hurt, then when I take my first several steps, my feet hurt. !  But it's not the same as yours.  Your spine might be misaligned somehow.  Since you have pain & cramping WHILE sitting, it's as if the spine is compressing on a nerve or bundle of nerves that's relieved by standing.  A pinching, pulling, feeling, numbness or a constant pressure feeling is usually a pinched nerve, so again, spine/disc thing is what I imagine.   If it's not extremely crutial, see a chiropractor---they can manipulate things back into proper position---it takes weeks/months but much better than surgery IMO!

  3. It sounds like either your office needs to get more ergonomic equipment (which many offices will pay for) or you have a very stressful job.  If you're stuck in an uncomfortable position for a long time while at work, then that could definitely cause pain.  There are chairs and other equipment that will help reposition you so that you won't be as uncomfortable.  They can be expensive, so you may want to ask your manager if your company will pay for them.  You can also try changing position or getting up and walking around a little as often as possible.

If it's stress, then you need to either find another job or figure out ways to decrease your stress level.  Some of my favorites are taking a hot bath, making sure I'm getting plenty of exercise and eating and sleeping well, doing yoga, and making sure I have time for my hobbies.
