There are a couple of ways to invite someone to your 360

1 go to you page

then click on invite

you will be allowed to invite 100 people a day

type in the person's id and address

send

2. ( my favorite way

go to that person's page

there may be a message that says so and so is not connected with you click on the add

two heads will appear

click in the small box to invite and then submit.

Either method you use the invitation expires in 2 weeks from the date of invite.  

For example if the date is the 16th, the expiry date is the 30th,

I have one but I generally keep it private. I've only got one person there and I basically use it as a picture holder for my avatar.

Adding people, you have to send them an invite and see if they accept. After you send out the invite, it's basically up to them.

You go to the persons page you wish to invite and under their id picture is an option . ADD This Person and click it.. it will bring up an invitation and you put a message in it and send it.

They have two weeks to accept, deny, or ignore and delete the invitation.. but until they do something they will appear on your home page in your friends update alerts under the contact heading of Favorites.
