We lost our beloved guinea pig yesterday. He was 6 and a half years old and was lovely. He had gone off his food ten days previous and we had taken him to the vets who trimmed his teeth but He still wouldn't eat and passed away peacefully.

Dont force your self to do it though i know i didnt . I'm sure he is very happy in guinea pig heven though

  2. aw, thats so sad, i lost a hamster, but your lucky, yours lived for 6 years, all hamsters live for 2 years, so im very sorry.

  3. My guinea pig was called lucky , he was my other guinea pigs son and he had extra toes on his back feet . His mum and siblings rejected him and he had to be hand reared by me . at 4 weeks of age he died in his sleep and i was so upset i cried for 2 days non stop . i still think about lucky and what he would be like as an adult pig and this is 4 months later . sorry to hear about your lovely piggie but your lucky that you had yours for 6 yrs . just look back on the good times .  stephenie .

  4. my gunie pigs name was keara and she had a fat tumer on her side it mad me angry and sad to see her go because she was only 4 but it was worse because when i found out i had just gotten back from camping with my pathfinder group.

  5. Me.

    I'm sorry.

  6. i lost a guinea pig , I sympathise with you. If you have another guinea pig, give him/her lots of attention and it should keep you and the lonely piggie happy.

  7. Me. Im still very upset. There's not a day gone by I don't think about my guinea pig Vimto. And I wasn't there when he died because he stayed at my aunties house =[ i hope our guinea pigs meet in heaven

  8. i lost 2 of my Guinna pigs in the last 3 months

    i still dread it

  9. both my guinea pigs died young. 3-4 years old. my first guinea pig died when i was 8 for a reason unkown and  3 years later , today, i just found out today that my second guinea pig had died after coming back from a one month vacation. of course i cried my eyes out :[ but my parents said its Gods will and my friends comforted me so i know i will always have it in my memory and pray for it to be in Heaven . Im really sorry for the long answer !!!!

  10. Yes, one of my sister's guinea pigs died at only about 1 and a bit years old. She was always a bit ill, with and eye problem and never really ate much food but it was still really sad.

The saddest part was that the other guinea pig is all alone and really misses the other one.

  11. aw i'm so sorry to hear that. my first guinea pig died last year, i had only had him for a year (we think he must have been a year or two old when we got him).

he died whilst i was on holiday, which made it even more awful as i wasn't there to hold him and cuddle him in his last moments. he had seemed fine before we left, but my aunt who was looking after him said that one day he started making strange noises, collapsed and had difficulty breathing. she took him to the vet who gave him painkillers, but he died that evening.

it ruined my holiday, i was so upset.

    :'(

and it was awful when i got home, because my little piggy's brother was pining so badly. he became really quiet and withdrawn - he wouldn't come out of his 'house', and went off his food a bit. i soon got another guinea pig, and it really helped me, and our other piggy, to recover. he's not the same obviously, but you have to accept that they are all different with their own characters. i love him to bits. perhaps you should get another piggy to love?

may your guinea pig and mine RIP.

  12. When I was quite a bit younger I bought a guinea pig (Rosie) which amazingly lived till it was 8. I was rather devastated when old age finally took her away from me because I had gotten rather attached to her. =[
