Who else has noticed a lot of trojans on Y!A today?

I keep getting trojan alerts and removed whilst on Yahoo Answer today - I got one last week and has kept security program open to monitor. It's definately on this site because I scanned my PC earlier before connecting back up and cleaned up. I have just come straight onto Y!A.

It's called viromonde.

Has anyone else noticed the same.

  1. No, don't get Trojans. My security stops them dead.

  2. Just ran a scan, nothing. Be careful what links you clik.

  3. No problems here, I run everything within a sandbox so nothing hits my drive.....it lives and dies in a 'virtual' area unless I specifically 'recover' it.

Y!A is generally slow at times and viromonde (Virtumonde) can be removed using Lavasoft Virtumonde Remover which will find and clean the variants of the Virtumonde (a.k.a Vundo Trojan), that integrate tightly with the operating system, causing some scanners to bluescreen windows:

  4. kk. Yahoo aint that poor to have to resort to giving those kinds of adv. Clean your cookies n c**p. If you scanned, and not there, then it might not be there. Afterall, its just an adv. Could be from the cookies you keep accepting.

  5. I have NOD32 and I have never had a alert when I'm on answers, I think your virus program is a bit trigger happy!

  6. no. yahoo dont give you trojans that are a multi billion dollar company.

  7. my computer takes ages to load anything when im on yahoo answers..its doing mad stuff...what is it ?? a trojan thingy ??

  8. Don't open a link given by a user that is offering a Sony Vaio Laptop for free, That user is always changing Users account. Trojans on his link.

  9. Run Malwarbytes, its free

  10. No.

  11. I had a worm in my volume restore and the worm was traced back to Y&A.  So I don´t really know what to tell you and why this is happening.

  12. No, Kaspersky has not blocked any attacks or detected anything, and I think yahoo is big enough that it has enough admins to notice if someone placed something malicious on their servers. As for it being slow, it's just like that, it really frustrates me, but what can I do.
