Who else is Irked by the Media-Pablum and wishes we could get Genuine News?

I have been watching the news for an hour----and they keep bringing up the Big-Foot rubber suit Hoax----this has been in the news now for quite some time seeing as how it looks surprising fake or at least highly questionable to most of us the very first time we ever caught a glimpse of it------oh how I for one wish we could get some real news. after all-----do we not have plenty more things going on every minute of every day you would rather see?

I think you meant "pabulum" in your question.

You choice in news sources might be what is contributing to the lack of meaningful content on serious issues of the day.  Yes, the insipid Big Foot story drew coverage -- this may be an example of the adage that news isn't "dog bites man", but rather "man bites dog".  The odd and bizarre are news no matter how goofy.

Instead of just relying on the networks try The New York Times or NPR.  The liberal slant they are tainted with is overstated and they both provide insightful and timely news.

I am with you. And when it comes to the MSM you cant get the truth anyway. They give you their views instead of the news.

Count me in. Something like six corporations pretty much decide what is reported and they love to report junk.  The Bigfoot hoax is a  good example. My favorite recent example was the press getting hysterical over Barack and Michelle Obama's fist bump. Fox News claimed it was terrorist code, and a gang signal.
