I agree.

We are getting some GREAT players (Malone, Roberts, Prospal, I'm hearing Vrbata and Kolzig now as well...), but it really all depends on how you play together.

You can have a lot of great individual players, but they need to be able to work as a team.

Ask the fictional Mighty Ducks, or the real Washington Capitals.

GO BOLTS! I'm skeptical about the new ownership, but am expecting good things from them. Hope they can deliver!

Sometimes teams try too hard. The Rangers seem to do it a ton. It may take them a bit to gel. I'd be excited too if I were a Bolts fan, but lets see them on ice. Paper, well, it's all good, but...

LOVE IT! However, not so much love for Melrose. We shall see what he can do. We however, don't have Rolston and probably won't get him, unless you know something I don't. Vrbata we do have though. We are just getting a deal with Kolzig too! Can't wait to see what happens this season!

Mmm. We'll see. They overpaid for Malone. And they did NOT get Rolston. He walked, and they got Vrbata instead.

Here is the problem: they have no youth aside of Stamkos. Their prospect building machine is broken and needs desperate help. Their second best defenseman probably wouldn't even make the team in Detroit, and the Wings are your benchmark right now. And their coach and goalie are both unproven. On top of all that, they are going to be bumping their head against the salary cap the next few years. What happens when Stamkos needs a huge raise?

I like that they are not standing still, but if this experiment does not work, they did not leave much wiggle room to right it. It's a hit or miss team. Don't go to Vegas on them.

They paid too much for Malone, Rolston is not going to sign there, and Barry Melrose has not coached in 15 years - who is heading up this rebuilding project - Haliburton!?!?

I think they will be better, how could they get any worse.  I think they still have to address the fact that they will be pulling the puck out of their own net a lot unless they beef up the defensive side of the puck.
