I feel like Ramadan meant sooo much more when I was younger. Now, it's become more habitual than spiritual to me. I pray that this will change next month! Was Ramadan more magical, wonderous & spiritual when you were younger (no, I don't mean real magic, lol)??

Thnx!! Salams.

  1. I'm pretty excited too!

  2. And you follow what now Ayeesha??  If Islam was so evil people would not convert to it. We converts have probably seen more defiant pages than muslim born people, simply because we have researched the religion, and obviously that did not stop us from converting. I don't know why people do this, I mean if you want to spread your religion then go ahead, but don't bash and disrespect other religions.   Anyway,   Assalamu &alaikum brother, I am so sorry I just got carried away with this woman disrespecting and putting her stupid link on all of our questions. I am very excited for Ramadhan. Let me tell you this is only my second Ramadhan, I converted at the beginning of last Ramadhan. Last Ramadhan was very a very lonely one, since I was a convert and lived far away from the Muslims I know, however, this Ramadhan, will be different, I know more converts and we will get together as a family since our families don't practise Islam. And to answer your question, maybe holidays are more fun when you are little because, such in the case of Ramadhan you were not obligated to fast, now you are older and most likely fast and that puts a little pressure on you. When you were little all you had to do was run all over the house and play with the other kids and eat when the food was ready.lol.

I AM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This is INSHALLAH GOING TO BE MY FIRST MONTH YAY!!!!!!!!!!! My parents didn't let me do it when i was little cause i was to thin and i always somehow got sick and they thought that if i had fasted it would affect my health. Last Ramadan i did it for one day and at night after i ate i threw up so my mom and sis told me not to do it. But year i guess I'm more religious than ever and since its mandatory i can use that against them. YAY!!!!!!!! I am so ready bring on the no food lol!

  13. Salam for you my dear friend .I think all muslims should be excited for the coming ramadan because it is the holy month which is waited and longing by them.During ramadan we will :

1)get nearer to Allah and Allah will love us

    2)be blessed by Allah

3)get a chance to make more good doings including shadaqah and infaq which its rewards will be doubled

4)be forgiven all of our sins by Allah especially if we obtain a night that is better that 1000 months (lailatul qadar)

5)get better control(manage) our own lusts and desires and we could not be easily tempted by satans because all satans will be locked

6)get higher faith and taqwa or devotion to Allah

7)be the winners and sinless at the end of ramadan and  came back like baby without sin (fitrah)

8)change our own morals, spirituals, social feelings and attitudes to a better condition in the future months after ramadan
