omg... yesterday for cheng fei... i was so sad. she is a vault and floor specialist but her nerves got to her. i was soooo sad when she got a low score on floor =( she is my idol and to see her cry made me cry. but she is so strong and was so nice when she gave the romanian girl a hug. awww, she has great sportsmanship. and the saddest thing i heard was that she's the financial supporter of her family because she was born into a really poor family and was pretty much forced to do gymnastics at the age of 3. =( well, i heard she is going to be on the beam so lets hope she does good on that.....

oh and this made me SO MAD. so i was checking out the nbc website and apparently, tonights gymnastics aren't live and so they decided to tell EVERYBODY the scores on bars. i won't tell you guys the scores but i'm pretty happy as a chinese person. (hint hint wink wink)

oh and also... this made me even sadder, like the cheng fei thing wasn't enough. LIU XIANG IS NOT COMPETING IN THE 110 HURDLES! =( china was counting on him. he has a bad leg surgery. i hope he's okay

please tell me about your opinion on the gymnastics. i don't think there'll be a top answer but i just wanna hear what everyone has to say.

*go cheng fei! she's still my idol.

  1. cheng fei shouldnt have won bronze. i dont care her higher start values. when u fall straight on your knees you dont deserve a 15 ish. alicia sacramone was robbed by the judges.

also on the uneven bars tonight... blank was robbed by the 3rd tiebreak system. what a rediculous way to place the gold medalist and silver medalist. olympians shared the gold back then and why not now? they both deserved it at most

  2. The Chinese athletes are so brainwashed to win, they breakdown even if they they come in second. It's sad to watch. I guess they know that their sports career is over. There's a 12yr old waiting to take their place.

  3. i felt soo bad for liu xiang , it made me really sad for him, and also cheng fei is such a good sport, i really wish it would rub off on "a cetain country"

  4. Boooo

  5. Yeah i felt for her, but she already won a gold medal so it is not that bad.

It is not just chinese who cry when they fall in an event they are a good chance of wining

  6. Yes she faced immense pressure, it was most sad because her first jump was fantastic, both difficult and perfect.  Oh well, it happens.

Yeah NBC have been shocking this year, first the delay on the opening ceremony, to the horribly biased and unprofessional commentating, and now showing spoilers on their website.

  7. I was also really sad that Cheng Fei landed on  her knees. But I was also really happy that (spoiler) He Kexin had a really good bars routine.

I almost dissolved into tears when I saw that Liu Xiang wasn't going to compete.

  8. Cheng fei obviously was dominant and could have won gold for both vault and FX if not for her falls...so yah, sad for her...but its ok, she had proven she's the best already many times.

  9. It was sad to see Cheng Fei...I've gotten used to not seeing hardly any of the competitors show any negative emotion. Sure, a look of disappointment or something, but nothing like tears and it really broke my heart. Of course I'm rooting for the Americans but that doesn't mean I can't appreciate a superb athlete and a huge missed opportunity. P.S. That coverage wasn't live either. I don't think any of the event finals are live.

The whole thing with the one girl falling on vault and still getting bronze of Sacramone was a huge upset. It's very hard for the average viewer to get their head around the new scoring system. It's way better than the previous one (start value and then deductions for poor execution), but it's still hard to accept when one gymnast does a beautiful routine and has a little hop on a landing and she gets knocked out of medal contention by a girl that basically lands on her knees. It's almost a joke. I agree that they should be rewarded for their difficulty level...but really, what was so wrong with the old system?

And don't get me started on the uneven bars. That was VERY unfair! I'm not saying the silver medalist should have gotten gold instead, but they should not have done a tie-breaker. That's an insult to the sport :(

  10. I do not watch the Olympics, but I have heard many good things about Cheing Fei
