Who else likes fair skin?

Question

Well, I'm Irish, Polish, German, Scottish, and Italian. My dad is very fair while my mom has olive skin because she's mostly italian. I, however, have my dad's skin tone. I very slowly in the sun. Right now I'm still pretty fair, only with a small tan. I hate when people go up to me and comment on my skin color and tell me to "get a tan." I am deeply afraid of getting skin cancer because my aunt recently got it so that's why I don't go in the sun a lot. Well, bottom line, who else has and likes having fair skin and/or scared of tanning because of skin cancer? Like me?

I prefer fair skin myself. Tan skin is going out of style, while a new crisper and fresher fair skin is coming into style. (: And I'd never want to be like everyone else. Everyone has tan skin these days, and most aren't even tan, they're orange, and it's unappealing.

Anything natural is beautiful!

If you have naturally fair skin then it looks great. If you have naturally tanned skin then that also looks great. But people who are fair with fake tans just look orange and that's not pretty. I was obsesses with getting tans but I always looked unnatural and I could never get that tanned look that naturally tanned people are born with. so I think its better to just go natural. There is nothing wrong with being fair. Fair can be beautiful too.

I'm very pale myself and I hate it when anyone tells me to try to get more sun. I'm always careful in the sun even though I have no one in  the family with skin cancer, I don't want to be wrinkly or get cancer in the future.

I absolutely love fair skin.

It amazes me that people think 'tanned is better'. Tans can be nice, but fair skin is my fav. Luv it!

it looks good but if you look an unmhealhy pale it looks not so good

I'm the exact same way as you! My mom is very fair with red hair and my dad is very dark with dark hair. I got his dark hair and her fair skin, so I burn like crazy. I like to avoid the sun and wear sun screen whenever I go out so I don't damage my skin. I don't like the look of tan for the most part because you can tell that it is fake.  Don't listen to those people that tell you to get a tan. You're not alone!
