injury-(I think he was paid to cut Margarito a break because Margarito was the money fighter at the time- I don't think his hand was injured at all- you didn't hear anything about it in the corner.)...................................

Now if Clottey can dominate Margarito like that- WHAT IS THE BEST BOXER IN THE SPORT-MAYWEATHER GOING TO DO?- WHO ELSE THINKS THAT FLOYD HAS A GREAT CHANCE OF STOPPING MARGARITO DUE TO THE AMOUNT OF PUNISHMENT HE WILL SUSTAIN WHEN THEY FIGHT- AND THEY WILL FIGHT IN THE SPRING OF NEXT YEAR! TRUST ME!

  1. Clottey is a good fighter. Even with the hand injury, it was a close fight and Margo didn't knock him down or out. It's kind of crazy, people keep saying Mayweather couldn't knock out Margo. You have to do your home work. First of all, PBF wouldn't go in there to knock Margo out. Boxer dont think like that against brawlers like Margo. If the knock out comes, than it comes. PBF would just move, pop shot, hold some times, jab him to death and make him look crazy. PBF would bring Margo back to the center of the ring to give him more boxing lessions. Cruse to a UD and people would be mad. PBF dont let the fans fighter for him but to get a W. Not one time did Cotto bring Margo back to the center of the ring. When they was at a distance, Cotto jab won that fight. Tomany people try to make Cotto a complete boxer, but he dont stragize, think or adjust like one. Cotto has 30% boxing skills and needs more beforehe gets back in there with Margo. His physical make up might not let he be that good of a boxer. Stamina is a big part, top of the list things for a boxer. Cotto is a good 6 round boxer in a hard fight. I think Clottey would beat Cotto, not because of the way he lost but skill wise. His record has nothing to do with his skills. Clottey has 2 losses and one by DQ.

  2. Who else saw the way Miguel Cotto dominated Margarito for several rounds until he got his *** whipped too?

  3. well clottey has a decent power on both hands, mayweather is quik but dosen't have enough power to knockdown margarito, if cotto didnt, then nobody can.

and yes i agree, mayweather can stop margarito, margarito will get hit 20 times with out even knowing what hit him

  4. Margarito is overrated, he isnt that great. TURN OFF THE CAPS LOCK. THANKS!

  5. No doubt Clottey was beating Margarito easily before he got injured, but he got hurt early in the fight (4th or 5th round I think) and Margarito is a late round fighter so who knows what would've really happened. Margarito may have came on in the middle and late rounds and stopped Clottey's momentum and won the fight late. That's why I would love to see a rematch between them because there are some unanswered questions from the first fight due to Clottey's injury. The way the fight was going early, could Clottey possibly have stopped Margarito? Would Margarito have withstood Clottey's onslaught and came back? Who knows how that fight would've turn out if Clottey hadn't got hurt. It looked like he was on his way to winning though. But remember also that Margarito was coming off a year's layoff coming into the fight with Clottey.

As far as Floyd vs. Margarito. I always said that Floyd would beat Margarito. Floyd's style would give Margarito too many problems. Margarito is very slow and has no defense, and that's disaster against a lightning quick, sharp puncher like Floyd. Plus Floyd's defense and movement would just be too good for Tony to overcome. Margarito would come forward and put pressure on Floyd, but he just wouldn't land a lot of shots on him. It would be a replay of Mayweather-Baldomir. Floyd would just potshot his way to a UD.
