Settled for an 8 million dollar law suit to cover up the lie.

Shoved a Sheriff's deputy.

Shoved reporters and has been caught on video.

Violated his bond.

I live in L.A., but I have family in Detroit, so I've heard quite a lot about the mayor of Detroit.  I don't think he has the popularity of OJ Simpson, but finding a jury of his peers might be too easy there.  He didn't use much intelligence in  going to Canada and violating his bond, but then he and his girlfriend shouldn't have taped their phone conversations, either.I think the guy has the same type of ego as OJ though and thinks he can get away with anything.  Nice to see his comeuppance!  What goes around, comes around...usually!

Based on his latest problem, I don't think a longer sentence is in order. He was apparently on a business trip... as mayor... not doing something illegal or unethical. Since he did... indeed... break his parole, he certainly should have to pull the minimum sentence, but a longer sentence than that does not seem appropriate... regardless of WHY he was sentenced to begin with. That's not the point here. He's already been sentenced for that.
