Who else thinks No Limit Texas hold'em takes more luck than skill?

I have been playing on pokerstars and it seems to me that more people get lucky than any actual skill is involved. yet I hear about how there are good players and c**p.

I was excited to start playing because I thought I could get good and start making some money online with it. But people just throw all in before a flop and get lucky and double their money.

Who else thinks its more luck than skill?

  1. Any card game Poker, black jack ect all have some luck factor.   But poker still involves bluffing which requires some skill.

Online poker is different because there is no human contact and when someone throws it all in and gets the best cards in that case yes its all luck

  2. While there is the bluffing skill and learning to read your opponents, Texas Hold'em is basically 'Chicken' for poker. You get your cards and then have no say at all as to what it becomes, whereas in 5 card draw, you get to discard some of your hand for new cards.

Hold'em takes no skill, it's purely luck.
