a full 15s Rugby Tournament would be impossible in such a short space of time really, but i think Rugby 7's would be great in the Olympics.

Rugby 7's is on a waiting list to be accepted as an Olympic sport

i agree, especially when you consider TRAMPOLINING is in the olympics now.  twenty20 cricket would be a perfect format for the olympics.  rugby (sevens) would be great too.  only problem with cricket would be not enough nation play it so the qualifying stages would be a joke with the same few countries having a chance.  i guess that's kind of like basketball is now though.

Yes to rugby - though as it such a physical match they would have to start before the games - can't expect the players to play every 4th day to complete the tournament - so would need to start 2 weeks before the Olympics (like soccer)

I think 20/20 dumbs down the skill - suits mediocre all-rounders, but it is the only format that would allow the time for the competition. One dayers may work but would be too much to have TV and spectators watching 9 hours.

Netball - not enough countries play.
