  1. Every one knows the best players in the world are KIWI's, so no he is not a dog act, he is just doing what is right for himself and his family, if the nrl don't want to pay for good old kiwi talent stuff them is what I say. Just watch all the league games, all the tries are scored by kiwi's. That was why the warriors kicked the bull dogs butts.

  2. He's a FOB!!!!!!!He's stuck in london on a Samoan passport.....what does that tell you, LMAO!

  3. na

bulldogs were really bad this year

if i were him i would go

and he wasnt allowed to play origin becos he was a kiwi

now in france he can play his full potential plus higher pay

  4. Each to his own !!  There will be people who for

their own agenda ....will dive write in to criticise.

Everyone knows , particularly sportsman, their rain

is limited, it involves pushing their bodies so far

out there....and even with their best effort , an

accident occurs and your taken out forever !!

Morally, you sign a contract ....stick to it by law

Sensibly .....your offered carrots, then someone

offers you Diamonds......You take the diamonds

    every time !!

There is though another side to this moral angle ........

The clubs should not be allowed to force any player, or

offer any contract beyond 2 years.   That way if

someone needs or wants to change the opportunity

    is there.

  5. who cares?

he is the most overrated player in NRL history!

the only ones who will be hurt by his choice to leave is Rabbs and Sterlo, Who will they give head to now?

  6. His old club is a dog of a club.

    I don't blame him. I'd leave too

    Good luck to him!

  7. of course he did

there is nothing wrong with going after more money

but you cant just quit a legal contract something most users on this site don't understand

most people who think he can must be uneducated  supporters

  8. well it wouldnt of been a dog act if he told his team mates at least ...

  9. hes young but he prob did lol

  10. yes

    i think he has fleas

    and should be put down

he broke a legal contract and should be prosecuted

  11. He's just a kid, leave him alone!

  12. Lets get the full story first, he has received some very bad advice and it is interesting to me to hear that his manager is also tied up with Mundine!!! Gee next he'll be having lattes' with Iron Mike

  13. SBW commited a dog act. As the saying goes when you hang around with dogs (Mundine, Nassar) you get fleas. He will be scratching for a while. Also these advisors of his are not looking after his best interest. If the injunction is handed down and he cannot play for any club then he will be like the rest of us earning an average salary in an average house. Mundine and Nassar are purely out for themselves. Sonny you poor poor boy. I am a dogs fan and i dont really care what he has to say. He has been lying to the club, his fans, friends and himself. I feel for the boys who have to try and pick themselves up for another 6 games.

  14. yea... if he just told his teammates...

But seriously, if you were in his situation, gaining 1 million more a year at france rugby then wat you would be at the bulldogs, what would you do?

  15. I think I will wait for the full story to unfold.

  16. If he's not happy at the bulldogs or in the NRL then why should he have to stay, its the NRL's fault for having the salary cap too low.if there was a way that he could get that money in the NRL he would still be here and Gasnier etc.

And remember, its his life not yours

  17. i reckon he should get as much as he can there is no loyalty shown from clubs they just chew up and spit out players.......good on you SBW you get what you can

  18. It is quite obvious that someone gave him some bad advice, be it his manager or someone else.

He didn't even have a Visa to go to France. He's still stuck in London! That's a sign to me that someone misinformed him.

  19. I guess every one has an opinion regarding SBW, i will give my opinion, obviously money talks and who would'nt be tempted by 3 million over a two year period, and probably playing in a weaker french rugby union league than the NRL.

Maybe the NRL should adopt an english soccer style transfer fee wereas if one player was to transfer from one club to another then the buying club wanting the player should pay the transfer fee to the club the player wants to leave, for example:

real madrid want ronaldo for 80 million pounds, real madrid give manchester united 80 million and they get the player

    what does everyone think?

  20. No. If your employer was underpaying and over working you, would you stay in the face of a more lucrative deal. The NRL and Canterbury are the lowest of low dogs in this situation. If they can't pay him what he's worth they should let him go and make his money in peace.

  21. NO. good luck to him.

I'm a bulldogs supporter and the club should take a long look at it self, the management needs to take their heads out of their own back sides and look after and out for their players. if they truly gave one small piece of cr@p about sonny they would of known that he was upset, he hasn't been the same since Mason and shriek left.

WHAT was a DOG act was how the club management  treated Steve Mortimer.

he was man with honour, integrity and above all loyalty. the Bulldogs had no room for man like that.

  22. No i don't, he is young and is looking to better him self. Obv, there is more to the story than the media portray's as per usual! No doubt his future was discussed in a sival manner and instead of the Bulldogs supporting his future career decisions they have thrown all this contractual c**p at him so my guess is he got jack of it and decided to do his own thing. ANY one in his shoes would do the same thing.

If you were in a **** job and got offered something better with better pay, better conditions and better oppertunities you would take it right? And if your then employer said hey mate I have a piece of paper that says you have to stay put and we aren't going to offer you any incentives to do so... what would you say? ... c u bye!

I support him and wish him all the best! I hope he goes great guns no matter where he ends up. There is nothing worse in life than wasted talent!

  23. Not me. If he wants to go, let him. After all, we annul marriages, so why can't he annul this contract?

It seems to me that we are seeing another stage of the death of Rugby League.

  24. Remember...the media gets PAID to LIE. They are just giving him bad publicity because they can't tell his side of the story.

The NRL is in a lot of trouble at the moment, not just with salary caps, and those $10 pies etc. They are s******g the clubs for more money than they need, the board of directors are getting paid a few $MILL each...I don't know what the h**l for, the NRL is loosing fans, they can't control the players, spending more money on their ads than what they're worth.

Football is at it's worst ever...if your good one day, they'll kiss your backside...do something wrong, you'll never live it down.

DAVID GALLOP and the NRL and looking for a scapegoat.

SBW left for a reason...he's not stupid and knows what's in his contract...The NRL are bluffing there way out of this.

  25. i believe that the NRL is better off without players such as Sonny Bill Williams. The game maybe about money but this b******s has taken the punks way out and run away from the hardest game of rugby league with no honour, pride or dignity. He has also rubbed it in the faces of the Bulldogs who nurtured him since he was a pup. I do not like the Dogs as a team at all but they did not deserve what $BW has done to them. After my tirade yes it was a "DOG" act. <Pun intended>

  26. He only breached a contract didn't killed anyone, so give him a fine and get over it and maybe banned him from NRL for sometime but who would want to come back to NRL after earning 1.5 mil . Joey Johns committed a dog act when he was playing all his NRL career while a drug addict . Did the NRL knew about it ? only god knows, then now he's been given a job and elected in the 1st 100 of century ..thats not fair . People should concentrate in bringing the 1000's of young ones thats in their juniors as there maybe a lot of Sonny Bills there . Bulldogs wants to take out their frustration for their bad this year on him . Team mates can get over it as they move from club to club so get sone fresh ones wiht that money . Media ? forget they are making money for telling c**p and the truth is ...who cares Sonny good luck mate .

  27. Bulldogs targetted to keep Willie and Sonny, due to this they lost a multitude of players - Thurston, O'Melley, Anasta, Price - due to salary cap restrictions. Bad call.
