Who else thinks that Chipotle is overrated?

We just got a Chipotle at my college campus and I just had it. I have been hearing about how good it is and after having I say that is is way overrated. Seriously it's expensive and it's mediocre at best! Why does everybody think it's so great? Who agrees with me?

I enjoy Chipotle - Carnitas is my favorite. I think they are reasonably priced for what I get and are better than the competition in my area.

However, many people above are wrong about the ownership:

in the fourth quarter of 2006 (October, to be specific) mcdonalds finished selling all of their shares in Chipotle. So, Chipotle is now owned by shareholders

I've tried it twice. Got sick the first time but thoguht maybe it was just a stomach bug, no one I was with got sick. So about a year later tried it again. Same result, sick. I do agree they are expensive and the tast is fair. But since it makes me sick I don't have to worry about it!

I do like their food.  Something about it is almost addictive.  However, I don't know if it's their sauce or what, but I almost always get somewhat sick the morning after eating there.  The food just doesn't agree with me on the following day.

I absolutely disagree.  I love Chipotle.  The only reason that I don't eat there anymore is that I found out that it's owned by McDonald's, and I HATE McDonald's.

I agree with you! I have often wondered how the Chipotle chain ever got so large. For the quality and flavor they deliver the food is very over priced. In fact, I would rather eat at any other fast food place over Chipotle. Your not alone!

The Chipotle at my college tastes great. Maybe it's just the people who work there? Kinda like how some restaurants of the same name brand has a different taste in various locations.

I used to work at one and I got fired because the manager was a jerk and hated me the moment I worked there..and I hate there burritos they suck..I make better buritos with beans and fajita and even steak..and real hot not..all cold.

I compare that place to taco bell..I can't stand any joint that reminds me of a crack head house.

i like it BUT i hate their hot salsa.  it tastes off.  it's pretty pricey too.

for the record, they are owned by mcdonalds, and thats why its so big

It is overrated. I saw it in a tv show and thought it looked good. Went to try it and I was so disappointed! Way expensive for what they give you! Luckily I live in Southern California so I get plenty of cheap but good Mexican food!

I love to go to chipotle it's great.The chipotle I go to is great mayybe it is just the people that work there.Or maybe you just haven't found anyhting you like.
