The judiciary found him guilty though video evidence clearly does not show him spitting directly @ the touchie? now the ******** NRL CEO is calling that McKinnon should get an 11 match ban? Do the NRL bosses have something against Wade McKinnon?

What do you think?

  1. The spitting direction was suss but at the same time, I am not sure he actually spat at the touchie. What happened to Innocent until Proven guilty?

  2. Cause he was treated unfairly - he is a Warrior......we are always treated differently.... he was 6 metres away and missed the touchie by 30 cm - I am sure if he wanted to spit at the touchie he would have walked up to him and not missed.

  3. If I see that ****** touchie on the streets I S**t on him then see if he complains.  I'm sick of these poofs wanting their 10 seconds of fame.  The touchie admitted that he never saw Wade spit but it came from that direction, its a dam shame that this Homo saw the spit but not a 2 metre foward pass.  Personally I dont see any use for touchies any way as they always seem to go upstairs whenever theirs a stoppage.  What do the touchies do apart from hold their little flags and report c**p that is not worth the time they stop the game for.  I don't care whether or not you agree with me but I will say one thing, Every person who is a Professional Athlete should be treated with the same respect which includes Refs/Touchies and if any case is ever presented against someone then they should be responsible to answer the case.  HOWEVER you should never be judge on past actions which you served your time for or for a reputation you have.  Every case should be fresh and based on that case only.  This is suppose to be a fair process.  The Laws of League failed again and if you think otherwise then you're guessing the facts!!!.

  4. I don't follow league, but I think it's because he playes for a NZ club.

  5. I am not a Warriors supporter, so I can give you an unbiased opinion.

I think he was very hard done by.  I know the video footage clearly shows him spitting, but what it does'nt show is McKinnon spitting at the touchie.  So how did they prove the intent??????

This is clearly a case of the Touchies word against McKinnon's word.  Where are the witnesses to verify the touchies version of events????

If this matter was put before a Magistrates Court, I could not see McKinnon being Convicted of this crime.  Infact I would be surprised if the matter made it before the Court in the first place.

Unless there are other witnesses we have not been made aware of, which I would very much doubt....................This was a very unfair ruling.

  6. No he wasn't. My theory is that with an eye to the finals, the NRL are just protecting their glamour teams Melbourne & Broncos. It was a put up disgrace.

  7. Yeah their was bugger all evidence. The ceo is calling for an 11week  and since  they can't see it they have just sorta made up the ban as they go.

    Bullshit!!!!!!!!!

    And im a raiders fan!

  8. At the moment the touchies and refs are f***ing hopeless.

Take Chris Sandow's attempt at a 40/20 against the roosters last friday night with 30 seconds left in the game. Now I'm not saying it was or wasn't a 40/20 however the touchie had no idea where the ball had gone out and was so confused he stood with a leg either side of the 20 meter line, If the man can't even see that than of course he is going to think Mckinnon spat at him when he never cause touchies are scare blind little men who are getting worse every year.

P.s I'm sure they get paid well too.

And its not that he pays on a kiwi side its just that he's an ex Bunnie(joke)

  9. Yeah, I'm Australian but don't use that against me. I've seen the footage, and honestly, it's a bit difficult to tell. Maybe I'm seeing it from a different angle.

But if he did, yes, he deserves it. Too many people attack the refs for silly, but spitting on one? Absolutely outrageous.

  10. The problem is this is not the first time Wade has been in trouble for disrespecting the officials. Of course the NRL are going to believe the touch judge's version of events - it is after all the word of one of their employees against the word of a player's.

I do agree he was treated a bit roughly and I would like to know whether the fact that Cummins had called him out earlier sort of had anything to do with the length of the suspension.

I do admire Wade as a player with ball in hand but he has a lot to learn with regards to treatment of the officials.

  11. Not me, he was found gulity of spitting at the ref. He is so incredibly lucky to get 3 weeks. He should have been banned for 10.

  12. its a dead set joke that McKinnon got three weeks and the knights fella got off scott free, its also like steve matai gettin 1 week for an incident that happened last year. the judiciary is a joke just like the refs, sack em all i say and bring in people that actually knows what there doin

  13. 1) wade  has a history with match officials, on a previous infringement he pushed a ref in the back, so maybe they do have it in for him now!

    2) he will more than likely only miss 1 game of competition football and that's this weekend, the other 2 games of his suspension will be served in trial games next year. (this is assuming the warriors don't make the 8 this year)

    3) in my opinion he didn't spit at the official, i think he spat in disgust at the decision made by the official, and doing this i think sets a bad example for juniors so having said that i think the 1 competition game he will miss is an adequate penalty.( providing the warriors miss the 8 and he serves his other 2 games in trial matches next year)

  14. Lets be honest McKinnon is a hot head at the best of times,im a Warriors fan but you just cant do that sort of thing and expect to get away with it he could have spat anywhere but chose to spit in the direction of the touch judge,Stupid!!!.We have been hard done by in the past by the judiciary but this is not one of those instances.Regardless of the forward pass he needs to keep his temper at bay,he is a key member of our team and a bloody good player, but unfortunately i believe that he has let himself and his team mates down with such a crucial game this weekend.

  15. Wade has a history of throwing tantrums which probably played against him more than playing for Warriors. Spitting in the general direction of an official is silly and unacceptable.

  16. I personally think he was treated unfairly. So what he spat, get over it and move on. Footballs spit all the time on the field. The touchies and ref's in this game are becoming little girls. Wade gets 3weeks for this and the knights guy who spat too got nothing at all. I dont think they have something against the warriors i just think they are stupid and are trying to protected the refrees.. NRL is going down the drain and its all become of the ref's..

  17. I am a Titans supporter so I am going to offer my unbiased opinion.

I believe that Wade McKinnon was treated unfairly. I think that he is a great player and is a huge part of the Warriors team. Spitting on a football field is a pretty serious offence, especially at a match official. Wade is very passionate about his football, sometimes goes over the top. He has been charged in the past for pushing a referee ( i think it was Jason Robinson though I am not 100%). I can remember last year he was sent from the field for kneeing a player on the ground in a game in NZ. He isnt new to this sort of drama off the football field.

Now, the video evidence wasnt all that clear cut. I agree, he did spit in the direction where the Touch Judge and there was plently of grass away from the TJ where he could have spat.

I dont know how Matt Hilder escaped his spitting charge. The evidence was more clear-cut and Hilder was very lucky to not be suspended.

If Hilder gets let off with clear evidence and McKinnon gets suspended with unclear evidence, where's the consistency there?

  18. i totally agree with you that he is being treated unfairly. How could someone possibly spit 6 metres to try and hit a touchie. the warriors were winning for gods sake and they were going to win the game so why would he do it. it just complete bullshit that the NRL are wasting time with this **** when they should be worrying about their big name players going overseas cos they don't get treated as they should in the NRL. This shows that the NRL need a huge wake up call and get rid of the CEO time for a bit of change.
