I think when teenagers are like 14 and 15, they think it's going to be really easy to wait until marriage because they don't know the pressures. Then when they have their first relationship, they lose their virginity in like, two months.

Here's my take on it...

Jesus didn't have a purity ring. What does a piece of metal symbolize?? It's their decision whether to be part of that religion or not. Why do people need rings to make themselves seem holy? I'm a true Christian...and I don't wear one.  Material possessions do not prove anything.

I think they just want the world to see them as "pure."  Even though everyone in the world is anything BUT pure.

And girls freak out, because this means they're virgins!  Hooray for the fan girls!  I honestly think a ring doesn't symbolize anything.
