  1. I do.  I mean, there were a couple of good teams in there...but anybody who honestly believes they would've won 6 straight SEC championships is just crazy.  The other guy is right, they have the speed to play in the SEC...that doesn't mean you'd WIN in the SEC.  If you put Georgia or Florida or somebody in the Pac-10 and pull USC out...do you really think they wouldn't win 6 straight?  Let's be honest about it.

  2. they HAVE. They went to auburn in 04 and shut em out. They play plenty of good quality teams.

  3. For the most part I agree with your statement. They just got lucky and are in my opinion one of the most overrated teams in college football.

  4. USC has had top notch talent the last 6 years. Even as a UT fan I recognize that. They have produced multiple first round picks and have been a NFL factory the last few years.

Would they have won 6 in a row- maybe not but definitley in the race. Other people are right- SEC fans give themselves way too much credit. Besides a couple elite teams if you define elite with 2-4 losses, the SEC is just another conference. They have more middle of the road team- teams that have 3 losses every year than other conferences.

  5. wow, I just added 5 more points to the dislike of SEC fans, because of their arrogance and lack of respect for any other team...and I don't even like USC, but the respect for what they are doing is there

  6. oh, yeah! i definitely agree!

  7. first, i do not like USC at all! but, USC could dominate the SEC! they might have lost a few more games over that span, but they would have won more SEC titles than anybody else in the SEC. you people  who are fans of the SEC need to realize that the SEC is not that great. the SEC has Florida and LSU as the teams that are good all the time. and that is it!!!!! and LSU lost 2 times last year and Florida lost 4 times last year. sure LSU won the title, but only because PITT beat West Virgina and that put LSU in the title game. I think West Virgina could have rolled over LSU and Ohio ST last year.

  8. SEC fans are insane. I used to think they were just obnoxious. First, since 2000, USC is 3-0 against the SEC. Second, a lot of USC's championships came when the SEC was horrid. USC could have scheduled everyone but Alabama, and had a much easier road to the championship. Third point, to the poster mentioning Florida and Georgia, no they wouldnt' win 6 pac ten championships in a row. Those 4 and 5 loss seasons show they have put together some real bad teams in the last 6 seasons, SEC or not. Georgia struggled to beat Troy last season. Not the USC Trojans, but freaking Troy. Great job beating Hawaii. I am sure that proves they could compete against the Giants.

  9. Check with Auburn re USC. Played in Alabama and L.A. Auburn came away with their lives, not much else. Perhaps the most famous football game in the history of the South was between USC and Alabama. In the Bear Bryant era USC came to Alabama. The Tide was mauled. The big man was Sam "Bam" Cunningham, a black kid. After the game The Bear went down the hall to the USC locker room, asked to borrow Sam for a few minutes. He walked him into the Tide locker room and announced:  "Gentlemen, This is football player (unspoken was the he was black)

Shortly after that Bear went to see the governor. He told the Governor that football in the South was dead unless it allowed black players, Bama had NONE. Soon they began to recruit blacks as did the rest of the SEC.

USC and Sam Cunningham changed history. Viva la change.

  10. not me

  11. disagree     usc could play in the sec    awesome speed and great coaching.
