I've always thought it was a bit of a silly event, but I think it's a better Olympic sport than BMX. That needs to go. If they want to add sports, then they should add cricket, American football, karate, rugby, etc.

Actually, they used to have tug-of-war, and after thinking about it, I think that'd actually be an entertaining event to watch! I'd support reinstating it!

I remember a few days ago, this guy was walking his heart out lol..and other runner throws his water bottle to the ground and the dude step on it..classic..but it was painful to watch lol.

i concur. that's the most ridiculous nonsporting event i've ever seen. it's like what the fat kid in PE would do.

That's your reason for wanting the olympics to drop race walking? because "they look goofy"???!! It's power walking, and there's a rule where you have to have one foot on the ground at all times. What doesn't make it a sport but equestrian, ping pong, and shooting are???
