Well, I certainly hope you're correct as I am the world's second-biggest fan of the Roughriders, next to you.

Based on what I've seen so far (I attended the exhibition game against Calgary) I must admit I'm a little worried about the ability of the offence to punch the ball into the end zone.  A lot of field goals simply aren't good enough -- on CJME radio this morning I heard the some of the players are beginning to mutter about the same thing.

The defence is a very pleasant surprise.

I am one of those people who thinks that everything in this world comes down to irony.  When the Roughriders win the Grey Cup this November, the inevitable question will be "was this because Eric Tillman and Kent Austin built such a superb team?"  Or will it be "Is this because Danny Barrett and Roy Shivers left such a terrific legacy of talent?"  You can count on Roy Shivers to scream "Racism!" no matter what happens!

I am one of those people who believes that Barrett was a fairly good coach, but not a great one.  Also, because he had been a quarterback once upon a time, he was needlessly sensitive about the psychological impact of benching players who were not producing, like Nealon Greene.  He might well have been too darned nice to be an effective head coach -- or he might have been a dummy who was out of his league in being a head coach for the very first time.

End of rant.  Go 'Riders!

Out of all the CFL fans you Saskatchewan people are dreamers, you've been saying you're going to win the Grey Cup for over 2 years now; you guys suck.... Why can't you see that?

The Roughriders have a good shot this year. They're off to a good start with a win over Montreal, who won the EAST last year. Saskatchewan had an oaky season last year, .500 and a playoff birth, but this may be their year. Kerry Joseph did great last year in his first season with the Riders, and he was outstanding with Ottuwa. He should have another solid year, rushing and passing.  They might have a weak rushing game from their running backs. Childs didn't have the greatest game rushing, but they're dominant passing should be the key for them. Even their backs put up good recieving yards, Henri Childs had 64 yards off 3 receptions.

Overall I think they have a good shot. It will be tough to get past BC, but I think they have potential to go all the way. They will get into the playoffs for sure, we will just have to wait and see what they can do from there.

Well...likely the Western road is going through BC, unfortunately...again...and I think the Stamps will be a good competition for the Riders...

...so get in line.
