I see it was a 5.4 quake, centered about 6 miles from West Salem, Illinois.  Pretty good one for that area.

there was one out here in japan at 430 this afternoon. i ddidn't feel it 4.2ish

Someone posted a few minutes ago about feeling it in St. Louis and another felt it in Michigan.

I live in Allen Park MI, a suburb of Detroit, I felt my bed shake while I was sleeping shortly before my alarm clock went off and heard my bedroom door shake, I thought it might have been a train going by as I live close to a train track, but that never happened before.  When I woke up and turned on the news I heard somthing about an earthquake.  My guess is that I felt the tremors around 5:30 AM

I live in Millerstown, Kentucky (S.central ky), and it sure as h**l woke me up. thats my first earthquake, scared me to death, esp. since i had a toddler and newborn to worry about.

In fact there was a earthquake this morning in Illinois.  It was a 5.4. I live in the suburbs of Chicago. I didn't feel it myself but my bird woke me up about that time panicking in his cage because he woke up in panic and was flying around his cage so apparently he felt it.
