im in a golf pool where you pick a golfer each week (but can only pick them once throughout the season)

Which of the following should i take??

Take into concideration i may need some of these people later in the season.

I only put the people i have left...i know i didnt put the likes of vijay, scott, paddy, donald.....etc....because i already took them

Phil Mickelson

Sergio Garcia

Jim Furyk

Geoff Ogilvy

Ernie Els

Justin Rose

Trevor Immelman

Tim Clark

Anthony Clark

Justin Leonard

Boo Weekley

Lee Westwood

Ryuji Imada

Angel Cabrera

Brandt Snedeker

I do have Tiger Woods left, but there is no way i am using him for this week....because im saving him for WGC Bridgestone at Firestone (since he is the 3-time defending champ there, and the 4th year he lost, got 2nd)....i guess if you can convince me that it is more important to use Tiger here, then say Tiger Woods

  1. Phil is hot right now, though I dislike him. Sergio is an excellent driver of the ball, which helps at a long course like Torrey. But Tiger is MY obvious choice because of his record at Torrey, he is long and straight (so is Torrey  HAHA), and he's coming back after a long rest and is hungry for a win. When Tiger wants something bad enough, he gets it or does all he can to get it.

  2. Phil.

  3. Of those guys you have listed i would say: Lefty, Sergio, Ogilvy, or Immelman.

I love lefty and he is from there, grew up on the course so he would be my odds on fav.  However, Sergio is bar-none the best driver of the ball on tour so you cant count him out in a tournament where driving is at a premium.  But we all know about his putting woes.  I like Rose, but dont think he drives it straight enough.  Ogilvy has great short game and is long, he would probably be tied with Phil for number one if he had played better this year.  Then, Immelman, after the way he won The Masters, cant count out a guy who has guts like that.

  4. Definitely olgilvy, its his time to shine

  5. Leonard won today and he's been pretty hot and so has Immelman (but it would be insane if he won 2 majors in a row so i would doubt he would win) but i'd take Justin Rose. Also Garcia might be a good pick too.

  6. Geoff Ogilvy would be my pick... here's why - Geoff has great, soft hands, perfect for those little chips on super fast open greens.  Also, he has a very high, penetrating ball flight, which from open rough is deadly.  While other players (Corey Pavin for instance) will be having their balls hit and roll off, Geoff's will hit and roll a few feet.

Well, since your list doesn't include Tiger I can't say him right? - he's got a great record at Torrey Pines though.

My only other two possibles would be Jim Furyk and Sergio Garcia.

Jim Furyk is all about ball striking - a key at an open venue.  Plus, when he's hot, he's on

Sergio because hes a streaky player and he's riding a hot streak.
