Who funded the Heartland Institute's conference on climate change just completed in NYC?

I can't find this info. Does anyone know where I can find the sponsors list?

  1. Mosly the Heartland Institute itself (which has been funded by tobacco and oil companies) as well as a number of other right-wing think tanks like the George C. Marshall Institute, Science and Public Policy Institute,  Oregon Institute of Science and Medicine (founder of the infamous 'Oregon Petition'), etc. etc. The sponsors list is linked below.


  2. Isn't this the thing Bush created as a puppet competitor to IPCC back when he admitted he had been lying all along about climate change being a hoax, and right before he admitted he lied about Iraq so he could go to Iraq and kill more Americans than Bin Laden?

  3. I don't really care, because...

    Very few climatologists showed up.  None of the reputable "skeptics" like Richard Lindzen did.  That's far more telling as to the scientific quality (or lack thereof) of this "conference".

    But I must admit the fact that one of the sponsors is "Americans for Tax Reform" also tells you something about the conference's non-scientific orientation.
