Who gave Russia nuclear technology

I've read it was an American double agent who provided the details, but it was so long ago I can't find a source! If anyone knows anything on the subject I would love to know. Thanks a lot!

  2. Both Russia and the US had scientists who were able to develop much of this technology, and both countries gained much of their knowledge of nuclear technology from the German scientists who fled to those two countries just before and just after WWII.

    Russia DID NOT gain their nuclear technology from American spies. That was propaganda frequently espoused during the Communist witch hunts of the early and mid 1950s.

Russia had their own nuclear (atomic) program going on, however, they were able to speed their progress by seeding the government and various corporations with hundreds, if not thousands of moles that went undetected for years. Only a drop in the bucket compared to the number of Chinese one's we have now.

  6. the russians and n**i's had their own projects. The n**i's project was scattered as Allied bombers blew the h**l out of their country while the Russians successfully developed their own independent program with no assistance from external sources.

    IF it was a double agent, it would be very well documented as the history of atomic and nuclear weaponry is one of the most documented topics in all of history.

  8. American double agents alerted the Soviets about America's Manhattan project, but I think Russia partially developed it on thier own.
