Who gets hooked on Yahoo Answers faster?

Do you think that people who are know-it-alls, or totally self-righteous, become hooked on Yahoo answers faster than less self centered people?

I believe people who find others opinions interesting get hooked on yahoo answers more then anyone.  

Also I think people get hostile and thumb down out of spite because they are people who think their answers or ideas are the only right ones.  You ever notice that the best answer is the answer most times people want to hear not necessarily the best answer.

I say if you ask Should I stay with my cheating boyfriend and your not ready to give him up your going to choose an answer as best answer that gives you the answer to forgive and keep him although we know that might not be the best answer.  Lots of people ask for advice and really don't want to hear it unless you see it the way they do.

I think that a majority of the answerers truly believe that they can provide helpful advice and/or insight to others.

And, I think that a majority of the questioners are seeking opinions which will help them decide how their thought processes relate to the thoughts of others.

Most are not seeking knowledge.  Rather, they are seeking reinforcement for their own precepts.
