Its too early to say.. but if I had to choose one now.  I would have to agree with the 1st guy and go with Tampa Bay skipper, Joe Maddon.

He's taken his team from worst to first in one of the toughtest division in baseball.. the AL East.

It doesn't make much sense to debate the awards at this time of year, because too much depends on how a candidate's team finishes. David Wright was probably going to get a lot of consideration for the MVP, and Willie Randolph was going to get some for manager of the year, but then the Mets didn't make the playoffs. If Tampa Bay has a dreadful second half and fails to post even a winning record, Maddon might not get many votes for manager of the year.
