Who gets paid more a surgeon or a family doctor?

i dont know for sure but your shouldnt pick a career based on money

but if you really want to know my guess would be surgeon because they do high risk surgeries and have a higher chance of being sued so they get paid more

normally sees older patients (depending on your specialization)

sees patients of all ages

can a surgeon open a private practice?

not specialize, taught in all area (generalized over all areas)
