  1. Everyone but me.

  2. I think a Astronomer because my cousin is a pilot and he said Astronomer's get paid more because they have to do like, a intense mission.

  3. Depends on the TYPE of astronomer (theres hundreds)

and the type of pilot (theres hundreds)

  4. Like the previous answers it really depends on many things, experience, employer, hability/skills. On the long run though, astronomers do get paid more than pilots, for it can provide more stability than trying to make your way through a field like that of commercial airlines, which I think are still in a "recovery" stage from the 9/11 chaos. I have a friend who's father was a pilot and he himself knows how to fly small aircrafts, and I've asked him why he never went into practicing his skill. I remember very well that he said, that pilots are like movie stars, there's a super rich minority and a starving majority (composed mostly of  new inexperienced pilots). In a certain respect I do believe that might be true, for there are only so many jets ad so many airline companies. Competition is really fierce to occupy the vacant posts that retirees leave behind, and once established it is rare that a pilot willl easily be replaced by another, it's like a sort of tenure, which creates another obstacle for fresh pilots. Just a thought, I hope that if you are thinking of becoming a pilot, none of these causes you to think differently about this exciting career. In the end what really counts is not the remuneration you might obtain (although necessary to some degree) but the personal satisfaction you can get from performing a job that fulfills you as a person.

  5. Yeah if you're an astronomer at mission control, you'd probably get paid quite a bit. But if you're one who's sitting in an observatory looking for stars, planets, etc, you probably wouldn't get much.
