Who gets the World Series Rings?

Question

When a team wins the World Series who gets the rings. For example if a player played one game for the team does he get a ring. Or does the the active roster get the rings? How about a rookie steps in a game does he get a ring too?

Those who were on the active roster will, all the coaches will, and players were part of the team but left off the active roster will get one,  Beyond that it is up to the players, coaches, and team owners/gm's to get together and decided on anyone else.  As others stated Nomar was given one because of what he meant to the team and players.  When the Bulls won their first NBA championship, alot of people in the front office were given very nice replica rings by the owner.

everyone listed on the official team roster gets a ring. I know a relief piture for the Rockies who got hurt and had to sit out during the playoffs and he told me that it didn't bother him that he had gotten hurt because if they had won he would have gotten a ring even though he was on the DL

I think the active roster for the WS, but I remember that Nomar was given a ring after the 2004 WS when he was traded to the Cubs.  Nice move by his old teammates.

If you're a member of the winning team's roster for any point during the season, you can earn a ring. The Yankees gave Gerald Williams a ring in '96 even though he had been traded away. And I was gonna mention the Nomar thing, but someone beat me to it.

Little known fact: Mike Lowell has a championship ring from his time with the Yankees. (He played briefly for the team in '98 when he was called up from the minors.)

Everybody who played during the series on the winning team gets a ring.  If you were out on injury during the actual series, I don't think you get a ring since you didn't actually play, but I don't know that for certain.
