Who gets the credit?

my friend is making the payments for his car but technically its in his moms name and he's the co-signer...So does he get any credit at all? or only his mom because shes the first signer?

If she is a cosigner, the account will be in her name, but it will show up on both hers and his credit reports.  Its' a great way to build credit on both sides as long as the payments are on time every single time.

If he is late, it will show on her report too, as late.

It shows on both reports, so each signer would get credit for the account.
