In an 8 team league I made this trade a few weeks ago. I feel that it has been an even trade so far, what do you think?

I got: Hanley Ramirez, Grady Sizemore, and Cole Hamels

I gave up: Alex Rodriguez, Johnny Peralty, Pat Burrell, and Edinson Volquez.

  1. It looks pretty even, but if your league is set up so that with odd-manned trades, you now have an extra roster spot to fill and the other guy has to drop someone to free up a position for the 4th man, that gives you an edge.  Maybe a huge one, if you make a good free-agent move.  And in an 8 team league, that's very possible.

  2. Hanley> A Rod

    Sizemore= Perelta and Burrell

    Hamels<Volquez

    Yeah, it's fair

  3. Yeah, for now a good deal. Doesn't look to bad. I mean Hanley Ramirez is a great player no matter what day is is. As goes for Grady too.  Cole Hamels is ok, you don't normally hear much about him. A-rod in my opinion, I'm sure I'll get grief for it but, isn't that great. OVER-RATED!!

  4. I think that a-rod for hanley is pretty much a draw, and if sizemore didnt have his 20 steals to burrell's 0, they would be a draw.  the speed of sizemore makes him better than burrell, however.  i think that volquez has an edge over hamels, but hamels is a little more proven and i would say less of a risk then volquez for the second half of the year.  i think you ended up maybe a little lesser off, but maybe with less risky of a lineup of marquis players
