What is the average number of sacks for a linebacker in a season?

I think the most sacks was Allen, formerly of the Chiefs, now with the Vikings.   He had 15 1/2.  For a linebacker I'd say a half dozen is a good average, but it depends on the defesnive scheme and the offensive set.
