Question:

Who guards the commandant of the Marine Corps when he goes out to visit his Marines?

I once got to land the Huey that the CMC was riding in and also in the air were two cobra gun ships circling above.

But once the Huey landed and the CMC was out and about he had about 4 armed men who were not dressed in military uniform. They were armed with some sort of very small machine gun.

Who would these individuals be?

  2. The idea of plainclothes operators is that you don't know who they are.  

  3. PSDs /protective services detail can be made up of military or private security personnel. yes blackwater among them.

  4. I'm not sure in the Navy/Marines, but in the Army, CID provides executive protection for high-ranking personnel.  Perhaps it was NCIS.

  5. Best bet would be some sort of Pentagon security or Secret service maybe., not sure
