It has to be Clemens with all due respect to Maddux who is still in the middle of a hall of fame career. Maddux though was never feared the way the rocket was. You never had players losing sleep at night before they face Maddux cuz they were scared of getting drilled with a high 90 fastball like they were with clemens

Even though Maddux is clean Clemens is the better of the two.  I was so tired of the yearly "Will Roger come back" hostage crisis.  Then we find out he did roids and was nailing a youngster.  He is a dope

Clemens has more Cy Youngs, an MVP, more strikeouts, a better ERA, and more championships than Maddux.  There's no doubt that purely by the numbers, he had a better career.

As well he should have.  After all, he paid a lot of money for the drugs to make it happen.

Clemens put up better numbers, but you can argue he would have been out of baseball 8 years ago without 'help'.  Maddux played on some bad Cub teams early on, and got by on hitting his spots.  He was a better 'pitcher', because he rarely overpowered hitters.

well considering that greg maddux is steroid free and clemens is not i will go with maddux even though clemens stats are better, you cant possibly think he would have those numbers without roids

It comes down to how much effect (or how much relevance) you place on the steroids.
