i know the beatles whop em in album sales, but the stones are always touring.

which was the more successful band when it comes to albums/tickets/merchandise and all things considered

The Stones are known for The best Live show ever in history and they have been named by Fortune magazine as "The Billion Dollar Band"

They made Billion dollars on the 40 licks tour and that was in 2002 not counting any other of the famous tours,So i say the stones!!

and besides the Stones are the Best anyway

Actually I believe the question should state Michael Jackson or the Rolling Stones. I was told that Michael Jackson bought the rights to all of the Beatle songs.

rolling stones i think.

the beatles only lasted 10 years (1960 to 1970) together as a band but the rolling stones have not disbanded yet since they started in 1962. there are much more opportunities for the rolling stone to make more money than the beatles

The Rolling Stones cause they have sold the most concert tickets!!!and the concert tickets are very high price plus they have the famous "LOGO" that seems people love to ware as a t shirt and the logo is on all kind of stuff like Coat`s or Jackets or even coffe cups lolect.ect.ect.
